YouTube Script Enhancements with Tampermonkey and Greasemonkey

YouTube script, as it is, is unattractive and not as user friendly as it could be. In fact, the older version of YouTube script looks better in my opinion.

Tampermonkey and Greasemonkey are addons for Firefox and Chrome that allow you to add new flash based script to a website that gives it a more optimized user interface, and can be customized specifically for you. We’re going to show you a YouTube script you can use to get you the old version of YouTube or give it a cool new skin.

Install these Addons

Tampermonkey and Greasemonkey are Chrome and Firefox addons, respectively, that we’re going to use to install the new script onto YouTube. They customize the way a web page displays or behaves, by using small bits of JavaScript. You’ll need to add these first, before you add any new YouTube script.

Add the Script

This script makes YouTube look cooler. Hence the title “cool black,” no doubt. A nice little bonus to this is that the black skin helps to make the videos pop out better. Maybe make your friends jealous. Possibly act like a rouge internet bandit that nobody will ever care about ever.

Enjoy YouTube’s New Look

So now your YouTube page is cleaner, more navigable, cooler, and more bad ass than ever before. Enjoy your cat videos, feeling like you have Jarvis and the Bat Computer combined in your YouTube script.

Do you Like this YouTube look Better?

What’d you think about this article? Did you end up getting the script and the new skins? Have any other cool new skins you’d like to add? Let us know what you think and leave a comment for us below.
